Feature Friday: Soap the Earth

We were recently introduced and fell in love with Soap the Earth, a small family business in Malibu dedicated to making quality vegan soaps and vegan skincare products. These soaps are PERFECT for wedding favors, gift ideas or just for you!

Soap the Earth hand makes, hand pours, cuts and wraps their soaps, with love and care, right on their California ranch. Unlike some other soap makers who pour in huge containers and cut their soaps in squares, they believe in making a soap that not only looks beautiful, but feels right too. That’s why their vegan soaps are poured into smaller, rounded molds that feel comfortable in your hand.

We are SO excited to let you all know that we’ll be doing a GIVEAWAY of one fabulous Soap the Earth product next week! Stay tuned and we’ll let you know how to enter!

DIY: Terrarium place holder

We just last week showed you a couple of the ways to create the unexpected with Terrarium centerpieces, favors, and escort cards. And now we’re happy to share, from Green Wedding Shoes, a DIY Terrarium place holder!

Materials Needed:
• Clear Glass Christmas Ornament
• Mason Jar Lid
• Moss
• Sticks
• Crepe Paper Flower (tutorial here)
• Wine Bottle Cork
• Thread
• Place Card

What to do:
1. Remove the silver hook from the top of the Christmas ornament.

2. Use the mason jar lid as the platform for the glass ball, and to offer some stability while you create.

3. Fill the glass ball with moss and sticks.
4. Make your own crepe paper flowers (tutorial here) to put in the glass ball for a burst of color.
5. Seal the hole in the glass ball with a wine cork
6. Tie a pretty bow with ribbon or string to attach your place card to the terrarium.
And you’re done! Thanks again Green Wedding Shoes for sharing this great DIY!

Floral Thursday: the unexpected

We always try to help our clients think outside the box. What’s different, new, unexpected?

Though we love love love beautiful flowers, why not go a little different and have terrarium’s instead of flowers? We love this look – it’s modern, it’s clean, it’s fun, and totally unexpected!

I Spy With My Little Eye

When I saw this, I had one of those moments of “I wish I could redo my wedding and add this adorable idea”. Treat your guests to a challenge of the game “I Spy” and ask them to take photographs of moments your photographer might not be able to get in the hustle and bussle of it all. You could then create a public flicker account so everyone can load their photographs for you to see. Adorable
