Wendy and Victor were married on an absolutely perfect Cinco de Mayo day on Saturday. The air was fresh, the sun was bright and the love was all around them. The couple did their first look and took some gorgeous photos at Terranea Resort before the ceremony, then we headed off to La Venta Inn where 100 of their closest friends and family watched them exchange vows and dance the night away. All in all, it was a perfect day!

Oh…and to be able to share gorgeous photos a mere 2 days after the wedding is one of the many reasons we love Jennifer Roper Photography!

We are asked quite often for original ideas for guest books. Most people do not want to have something that will lay around their house with no spot to be placed in (okay I will be honest and say that the “most people” I am talking about in this instance is my husband). So when I saw this adorable and creative DIY wedding idea from Project Wedding, I knew I had to share. A timeline guestbook for your guests to create on the day of your wedding? Totally swoon worthy. We introduced you to this lovely couple a few days ago, but here are the rest of the photos from their beautiful day at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom led their guests through the resort with a mariachi band in tow. The band played through the fun and casual cocktail hour and as guests made their way into the reception room. After a delicious meal (grilled asparagus with prosciutto and parmigiano-reggiano, braised beef short ribs, white sea bass, broccolini, truffle mac & cheese…can you say droooooool?), a full night of dancing ensued, followed by a sweet (!) dessert station with chocolate chip cookies, milk, lemon meringue tarts, and mexican wedding cookies. The night couldn’t have been more perfect!

With one of the kindest families we have ever been lucky enough to meet, it was so heartwarming to witness this special day for Jeanine and Jeff’s wedding at Ojai Valley Inn and Spa. J+J had beautiful details, perfect fall style (love those pumpkins!) and such an incredible warmth and love between them that we just couldn’t keep the tears back! Thanks to our lovely photographer Jen Roper Photography for spending the day with us and snapping these gorg photos!

BHLDN does it again with their absolutely adorable signs to hang around your wedding. Maybe on the back of the chairs or hung above a picture collage of the bride and groom. Anyway it is shown, it will be amazing.

Everyone loves cupcakes and they are such a fun dessert option at weddings because they offer variety in a personal size portion.  But now the idea of cupcakes have gotten better due to Goldylocks over at Etsy.  She has created these adorable little cupcake sticks that can be toppers for your cuppiecakes and add some fun and pizazz to the “typical” dessert. Check em out!
